Teaching & Training

As an educator and researcher, I strongly believe in and advocate for the transformative power of education. With this as my guiding principle, I consider the classroom a place of growth, where my role is to guide students in exploring new topics, ideas, materials, and languages.

In my teaching, I adopt an intersectional and equity-oriented lens to advocate for redesigning curricula to make them more inclusive and accessible.

Please read more in my Teaching Philosophy.

Also, check out this presentation about my teaching experience.

I am currently developing and organizing a series of graduate student-oriented training sessions to help fellow graduate students become familiarized with teaching expectations in U.S. higher education.

Curriculum Design

I am currently redesigning a Spanish Conversation course to be more accessible, equitable, and inclusive, as part of the requirements for obtaining the level 2 Certificate in Inclusive and Equitable Teaching from Office of Teaching Evaluation and Assessment Research and the University Equity and Inclusion Office, Rutgers University.

As a Research Assistant for the Language Engagement Project during the year 2021-2022, I collaborated with Dr. Doaa Rashed on developing curricula for a Minor in Language and Social Justice.
